Peter Egan is a 31 year entrepreneur who resides along the Mississippi Gulf Coast in Long Beach, which is near Gulfport, Pass Christian, Biloxi and Bay St. Louis.
Peter moved to Long Beach in early 2012 from Covington, LA. He much prefers life on the beach to the urban-style gridlock one must endure in Covington while driving through nearly any part of town at most times during daylight hours and early evening.
Mr. Egan is the founder, President and CEO of EGAN Medical Equipment & Suppy, and spends the majority of his time developing the world-class online retailer of quality healthcare, nutritional and maternity care products. EGAN Medical began in January of 2011 as a small, Covington, LA dealer of medical equipment and supplies.
Peter has worked off-and-on in the healthcare field since the age of 13, spending many of the last eighteen years laboring under his father's leadership. Beginning in the early fall of 2005 through about mid-2006, Peter oversaw the only sting during which his father's retail venture didn't lose money, compliments of Hurricane Katrina flooding Tulane's campus and forcing Egan to abandon the business he had started months earlier selling voodoo dolls and feature masks on Ebay.
Within a matter of months following the May, 2011 debut of its website and online store EGAN Medical quickly became one of the world's leading providers of quality maternity supports, maternity belts and postpartum supports. One of the most common is the patented, award-winning pregnancy garment known as the Prenatal Cradle (arguably the world's premiere maternity support garment).
